Why Use Privacy Control Software to Protect Your Privacy?

Privacy Control software is a form of software that permits individuals to securely clean and remove the information that they no longer want on their computer. This is a very important and necessary tool for anyone concerned about the privacy of their data since many of Windows’ history and file deletion programs do not totally remove or eliminate the information. There are only a few software products in the market that enable comprehensive cleaning, deleting and shredding of the data from your hard drive. Two of these programs are Winclear and ParetoLogic Privacy Controls.

Information, at both a personal and professional level, can be powerful in today’s environment. Many of your personal and business relationships of today can be centered upon the use of and processing of information. While there is much focus given to the security of information on our computers, there is very little or focus or worry about the information after it is deleted. Unfortunately, you can still be at risk once the information is deleted from your computer using standard Windows’ options since the deleted data leaves traces that can be recovered easily by anyone who wants or needs to obtain this information.

To protect yourself, you need to be using privacy control software to completely clean and remove the files from your computer so that no one can gain access to them. These files include both visible and hidden files that you may or may not be aware of on your computer. Did you know your computer is a powerful recorder that records all your activity from Internet searching and browsing to emails sent and received as well as programs and files accessed and modified?

Privacy control software is a must have to scan, clean and eliminate information such as temporary Internet files, searching and browsing history, Internet caches, cookies, peer to peer (P2P) activities, media player activities, instant messaging and chat conversations, online shopping and financial transaction histories.

Two of the best privacy control software programs to protect your privacy and security needs are Winclear and ParetoLogic Privacy Controls. Both of these applications are all-inclusive and meet the key functional requirements of privacy control software. These key functional requirements are ease of use, multiple scanning categories, multiple inclusion and exclusion options, multiple file shredding options, online help and 24/7 customer support.

File shredding options are very important to provide the secure elimination of data files. Typically, these options involve the number of passes performed in the file overwriting process insuring the data file is unrecoverable by file recovery software applications. A complete privacy control application will provide one, three or seven overwriting passes, one of which meets DOD 5220.22-M standards.

If you choose either Winclear or ParetoLogic Privacy Controls as a privacy control software tool for your privacy and security needs, you will be making an informed and intelligent selection to eliminate your risk of privacy and confidentiality breaches from using standard Windows’ security capabilities.

My First Project.

Every Engg. Student like me made a project in his study period. Some are big some are small. I like real projects those give me the real fun. I look projects as an adventure. I have made many projects but my first project is Moving Message Display. It is a microcontroller 8051 based project in which I you can show my message on LCD screen. There are three subparts of this projects i.e. keyboard, CPU, and screen. Type any alphabet or number on keyboard then it shows you on screen that is a LCD. I took guidance from my teacher about this and took also some help in programming. I took 5 days to complete this. All we know there are 4 ports of microcontroller 8051 i.e. port 0, port 1, port 2 and port 3. I used port 0 for LCD display as an output, port 1 for keyboard as an input. And other port made free. There are some other features in this project like lock (password protection), music (beep).

This is simple project but this is my first and all that features made it great in my view. I have a advice for my blog viewers that something is better than nothing.

Avoid Online Fraud

Even though it is usually safe and convenient to handle your personal and financial transactions on the Internet, you should still be continually aware of anyone who is attempting to defraud you of your money or steal your identity. Protecting your credit card information and personal information should always be of utmost importance.

  • Get into the practice of carefully weeding out your email on a daily basis. Do not open any email that is not specifically addressed to you, has a strange subject line or appears fraudulent. If you open an email from a known company, do not fill out any financial information. Go to that company's website and call or send an email to find out if the email you received is valid. Do not fall for any of the emails that say, "The IRS has your Refund" or "Your Files Need to be Updated." If you receive an offer for an online newsletter that promises "great stock returns," talk with your financial adviser or attorney first before signing anything.
  • Deal only with known companies for retail or mail order when you are ordering online. You definitely want a website that has a telephone number and address as a contact. Every site should have a privacy policy, which explains what information the company keeps on you and how it will protect your credit card information. If you have questions, call the customer service number first. If you need to sign up with a user name and password, do not use your birthday or anniversary date. Mix numbers and letters. Keep a notebook nearby where you list the different websites and the user name and passwords. Make a copy of the transaction page after making a purchase.
  • void any "work at home" or "job success" emails or websites that ask for a fee upfront. These are scams. Do not provide your social security number or any other personal information to any employer until you know that it is a reputable company. You should receive a contract and IRS tax forms from the business once you have agreed to do the work. You will have an address and phone number of the company, so you can check with the Better Business Bureau or that state's consumer protection department to ensure reliability. Once you have begun to receive payments and feel comfortable about the organization, you can sign up for direct deposit of payment into your banking account.
  • Check once a year with all three credit reporting agencies, which is free of charge, to make sure of your credit status and that no one has used your credit illegally. Also read through each credit card statement you receive to make sure you understand all payments. Sometimes you will sign up for a "free month" of a service. If you do not cancel, you will be charged thereafter. Close any bank accounts or credit cards that have fraudulent payments. Let your bank or credit card company know at once.
